About Reston Train Station

Reopened in 2022 after 56 years, Reston Station (originally 1846) was rebuilt for £20 million to serve growing border communities.

The minimalist design reflects modern rural needs.

Its revival created 50 local jobs and reconnected Berwickshire to Edinburgh (45 mins) after the 1966 Beeching cuts.

The original stone station house (now private) stands adjacent as a reminder of Victorian rail expansion into the Scottish Borders.
